Lamprey Genome Paper is not Lucky Either

We wrote few days back “Do You Feel Lucky Any More?” on declining quality of google search. Here is another example. This time we also searched Google scholar suggested by reader Adam.

There are two possibilities -

a) Search engines are doing lousy job about taking readers to primary documents.

b) Titus Brown is more popular than Nature and soon researchers will start sending high-visibility papers to his blog.

….but is good science a popularity contest? We will explore that topic in a forthcoming commentary on Brian D. Josephson.
